The electricity went out at 4 a.m. and still is not on at 4 p.m. We used the oil lamp and candles until daybreak and when it got light, went out and hauled tree limbs away. We planned to serve asparagus roll-ups to our guest who came for lunch but since we could not use the oven or microwave, we had cold cuts and salad. For dessert we had verrrry soft ice cream.
Now we're back in Kalamazoo where I can write the blog, refreeze the ice cream, and flush.
Why did the electricity go off? Did the neighbors have the same problem? D
