Day 5 - On board
Praise the Lord! Queen Mary 2 is all we hoped for and more. We have a nice room with a balcony and a steward from the Philippines named Burt. Last night we had the evening meal in our designated dining room at a table for 8. Our table mates were from England. The ship rocks gently but for us wobbly walkers it sometimes gives us a little stagger-step. There are a lot of German speaking people on board as well as English. We have not met any other Americans yet. I am using Minnie in the Library. The whole ship is wireless but the signal is weak in the room. We're looking forward to your comments and questions.

You made it. You girls are to be congratulated for all your careful planning and now you are enjoying your efforts. I hope you get used to the rocking motion of the QM2. That was a good idea to get Minnie. Do you have a good selection of food to order or is it family style? If it is family style at least you can say please pass the mashed potatoes in German.L.S.
