Day 11 - Wavelets & Pounds
The English Channel was calm and the Captain described it as having wavelets. We did not go ashore in Southampton but sat on the deck for several hours. Being that near land, a little bee found Sr. but landed on her book and did no damage. We watched the boats coming and going, the children in the play area and pool, and at 5 p.m. participated in the sailaway party. We were only in port for a few hours and then we were off again with little private boats following along for quite a way until we got to the North Sea. Later Sr. found a coin which turned out to be one Pound Sterling. As far as our gaining the other kind of pounds, I think we walk off the delicious food every day. The Library is at one end, the dining room is at the other end and the decks and entertainment are either end. It seems like we must walk at least two miles every day. If I am able, I'll write a blog from the Hotel in Hamburg tomorrow. Thanks for your comments so far. You will be rewarded with a share of our earned chocolate when we get back. Tell the others to write if they want chocolate! Love and Alles Gute!
