Day 8 - Rough sea today

Our Steward Bert

We have not seen any sea animals but have met one American who unfortunately had a severe speech impediment. There are about 1/3 each American, British, and German. We had breakfast "in bed" as they call it. The first day on board we dined with two old English ladies who said they ordered breakfast in bed every morning. I have finished reading a Cat series mystery book from the Library and Sister is about 1/4 through with the book, " The Faith of Barack Obama".

  1. Do you have a selection of events you can attend every day if you wish? I imagine some days there are a lot of programs you would not be interested in. I researched problem of gaining weight on cruises and one web site stated the average person gains 8 pounds per cruise if they are not careful but I know you folks are super disciplined in that area. 2. Do you have access to the news that are going on in the world? I was wondering if the ship would be rocky because of the weather. D

  3. Glad to meet Bert. Breakfast in bed sounds like an excellent daily ritual. Enjoy it while you can and don't think of weight gain theories--this is your trip enjoy. Hope the rough seas don't make you sea-sick. They should include dramamine in the drinking water. Picture looks great but where are you? Bert needs to take the next picture. Have you spoken german yet? Enjoy--love R and H
