Prospecting for ...
At the risk of revealing how eccentric I am, I am going to publish a theory I had and the outcome when I tested the theory. My theory was that when Meijer customers accidently dropped coins in the snow in the parking lot during the winter they would not hear them fall, so when the snow plow cleared the lot, all those coins would be in the mountain of snow that was piled up at the edge of the lot. When the snow mountain finally melted last week, I walked around the area and found a total of 39 cents plus one returnable can worth 10 cents. It was disappointing compared with finding $20 bills while shoveling snow and raking leaves in Bloomingdale. But it did not require shoveling or raking. It was easy money.
