Now we're only 14 miles from the Brooklyn dock and living it up at the Staten Island Hampton Inn.
Our trip through New Jersey started out great with happy flower girls but the closer we got to New York the more difficult traffic became. As the navigator, I confidently misdirected Sister off and on toll roads with I-Zoom merrily registering the tolls. I know we got off and on one toll road at least twice trying to find the right exit. Phyllis was a big help but we cringed when we thought we were doing the right thing and heard her say "recalculating". There is only one person kinder and more patient than Phyllis and that is Sister.
May I ask who took the picture of the Flower Girls? From this view point you look like "short people". That fabulous picture gave me an idea for a more bouffant hairdo. Maybe I can go around with a flower cut out around my flat head.LOL. L.S.
ReplyDeleteBeing happy and relaxed in spite of wrong turns is certainly the best way to cope. I get way too uptight when we miss an exit. You two are born travelers. We are leaving tomorrow for St. Louis, and I won't have internet access to check your blog until Tuesday :( Happy 4th of July!
