The ship passed the Statue of Liberty at about 5 a.m. this morning. It was light enough to see her clearly from our balcony on the Port side of the ship. It is always a thrill to come into New York harbor.
We navigated from Brooklyn back to the Hampton Inn in Clarion PA with only two "recalculations" from Phyllis. We're getting better at following her instructions. Speaking of getting better, Sister has regained her health (thank the Lord) and did most of the driving. The thermometer in the car indicated that it was 96 degrees outside and we were thankful to whomever invented air-conditioning for cars.
Thank you for sending comments. It is so nice to hear from you while we are away from home.
Yes, you are getting higher temperatures there than we are. It is good to stay indoors (air conditioned cars, rooms, etc.)D
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Marilyn is doing better. There is nothing like having someone else help with driving. Enjoy the scenery on way home. L.S.
