Meanwhile our yard pet turkey comes every evening at about 8:15 p.m. He half flies, half leaps from one branch to another until he get to the top of the tree where he roosts for the night.

House Pet and Yard Pets
Missy flew from Alaska with her Mistress for a brief visit. Isn't she adorable? 
Another yard pet showed up recently. We were having breakfast (4 a.m.) when the bird feeder began to shake. A long-skinny-hairy arm reached up to the feeder through the bushes. Then a little masked face looked through the window at us. He was so cute we might have let him eat all the bird seed but when he saw us looking at him, he scurried away. So now we have a shy raccoon to add to our outdoor pet menagerie.

ReplyDeleteA Waschbaer is like our raccoon. It is a good name because of how diligently raccoons wash their catch before eating. Rehbock is translated Roebuck which is like our deer. Fuchs is our fox. It is good that the animals don't eat everything in your garden.
