Coming Home

We had a sunny day yesterday and went out on the deck to look for whales. I guess they were out there because people were pointing and taking pictures but we didn't spot them. I saw a black object way out but someone with better eyes said it was the hull of a ship.

We did not get seasick when the boat did it's rock and roll thing. It was interesting to see little white anti-seasick patches behind the ears of a lot of men. I suppose a lot of women had them too but they were hidden behind their tresses. It was impossible for us to walk without holding on to the railings in the halls and we staggered like drunks between railings. We wondered if the dancers at the formal ball were lurching around gracefully in their long gowns and tuxedos.

We are south of Nova Scotia now, 480 nautical miles from New York. We will dock early Monday morning and we are looking forward to sending the next blog from Pennsylvania, USA.

  1. I am glad you didn't get "seasick". What an experience, having the ship be "rocky". It is so nice you have a "deck" so you can watch the water. D

  3. Glad to hear you are both still afloat. Just got back from picking up the kids from Honolulu airport having returned from their brief hiatus in Chicagoland. All had a good time, looked healthy, and said they had great weather most of the time they were there. By the time you check this, you may already be pulling into port. Drive safe. Chat with you soon. rb
