The seagulls have landed!
We had an easy disembark and breezed through customs and immigration. It started to rain a few drops as we walked from the cruise terminal to the car but it didn't matter. We were glad to see the car again and even more happy when it started right up. While we were gone, Phyllis had turned her job over to Fritz and the deep voice out of the GPS spoke in German and threw us for a loop. I fiddled around trying to get Phyllis back and we circled around Brooklyn admiring the old neighborhoods while looking for the entrance to the expressway. Phyllis came back and we got out of Brooklyn. We are now in the beautiful Poconos at the Hampton Inn in Lamar, PA. and hope to drive the rest of the way to Kalamazoo tomorrow.

Dear Gulls, How cool to have Fritz in Germany. I guess Phyllis had to get her GPS reset for Brooklyn -- she must have been sleeping. Hope you get a good nights sleep now that you made it to the Hampton Inn. Have a safe trip in the morning. Thanks for the update, "where in the world are N and M?"

ReplyDeleteWow you don't waste anytime in your travels. Tomorrow I will look up Lamar Pa. in the Atlas. I didn't realize you had the car parked so close to the terminal. Good job. L.S.
