Sunrise over New York

The Statue of Liberty was beautiful as we moved slowly toward New York at sunrise. No picture can capture the lights of the magnificant city or the statue standing tall against the dark sky. The statue is lighted and can be seen easily from the deck. QM2 is tied up at the dock now and we are having breakfast at the King's Court. We'll will leave our stateroom at 8:30 and assemble in the Wintergarden and await our color to be called. The next blog will come from some motel somewhere on land on the way back to Kalamazoo. Noch einmal vielen Dank fuer alles! Gott sei Dank! We are almost home.

  1. Well you made it. Your blogs were coming so fast I did not have a chance to keep up with them. Hopefully you will compile one of your outstanding books with your memoirs and pictures of your memorable trip. L.S.

  2. Welcome home, yes, Gott sei Dank! I guess the NY harbor opened up for your safe and beautiful arrival. We'll watch for your progress home. Hope you didn't fall over with your first steps on land after your rolling journey. Love R and H

  3. Atom: Die Reise mit der QM 2 war herrlich. Aber es ist auch schön wieder in der Heimat zu sein.

  4. I should know the answer to this question, but did the Marsh and Richter families see the Statue of Liberty when they arrived in New York?
