We're tucked away in the Kalamazoo apartment for a few days enjoying rainy days activities. There was a good football game on TV yesterday. We love to watch Notre Dame football and Saturday's game kept us in suspense until the last seconds of overtime. Also, I'm continuing to write family history booklets and there is the never ending job of assimilating household goods from the lake./// We are about 90% moved out of the house with the closing date probable for later this month. We're waiting for better weather to invite neighbors to come and take what they could use. Then I'll call a "clean out" service to take the rest. If there is enough good stuff for them to take they do not charge anything. ///
There are so many things that one does not need at the apartment that were needed at the house: lawn spreader, wheelbarrow, hoe, shovels, rakes, saws, screw drivers, hammers, wrenches, painting supplies, etc., etc. If you could use any items like that at your house let me know and I'll set them aside for you. ///
The service at the apartment is excellent, the grounds are beautiful and if anything needs repair, a friendly maintenance man is sent over right away! It is like having the perfect husband...almost. ///
Well, it's been cold and rainy in Minnesota, but we're quickly finding out that staying inside the whole day is not an option when one has a new dog. Oh, well, it forces me to get much-needed exercise! The boys (Walt and Andrew) keep close tabs on the pro football games with their fantasy football competitions. Unfortunately, Kurt Warner hasn't come through for Walt this season. I wonder if Nick will convert over to the Indiana teams now that he is there? Love, Linda
