Yesterday was a nice sunny day to drive south and visit the sisters and brothers-in-law in Indiana and Illinois. We hit the jackpot and saw everybody.
While we were in Chicago we stopped at the almost 100 year-old family homestead on Ewing and had lunch at our favorite picnic place in Calumet Park overlooking Lake Michigan.
Meanwhile we love connecting with the younger generation as we munch girl scout cookies, pop cub scout popcorn and devour each issue of Time magazine. Are there any other goody projects out there of which we are not aware?

Oh yes Calumet Park. You probably brought your lunch and did not get the famous Chicago Style hot dogs at Skyway. Oops sorry Nathan's. While you were here for your short visit and exchange I noticed you looked so glamorous with your new earrings. M wants to know if your ears are pierced or you just wear clip ons. Now he thinks I should wear earrings . See what your started. Angelica P.S. I told him I am a plain person like my Mother with the exception of wearing makeup.
ReplyDeleteHi, We enjoyed your visit very much. Were there any birds flying around, ready to eat your bread crumbs? That is a nice spot to watch the lake and birds. Our father used to like to park there and watch the birds and water. D
ReplyDeleteI remember a picture taken there with Grandpa and a pregnant me.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm curious about your earrings. Rebekah was going to have her ears pierced for her 13th birthday this year, but then she got a snowboard already for her birthday this year. How can my youngest be turning 13 this year?
Love,
Linda
My ears are not pierced. I borrowed the earrings from Sister's collection. She looks for clip-ons and screw-ons when she goes to the Discover Shop. It is a store that resells rich people's donations to benefit cancer research. She got her Jubilee dress there. My next Blog topic is going to be, "Blessed are the Poor". Thank you for your comments.
ReplyDeleteJust for the record I have pierced ears and so does H. Yes, sister has great earrings--we noticed them when you first came to CA. Love R
