The whole ship was into the 4th of July spirit with American flags and red, white, and blue banners everywhere.

We waved our flag at passing little boats and got enthusiastic waves and greeting in return. At night the balcony of our room was in the perfect location to see the fireworks all over the city so we could watch in our pajamas.

Today we are at sea again watching for whales. Marilyn has seen three and I'm still looking.

  2. I am glad you saw fireworks. I just flipped the channels on the TV and saw them in Chicago, New York and Washington D.C. I think seeing them in person is the most spectacular. It must have been great seeing them from your room on the ship. D.

  3. It was exciting you saw the whales. I see documentaries on them on TV but there in no comparison to seeing them in person or in whale LOL. I hope Marilyn feels better you need her driving skills to get you home. L.S.

  4. Good to hear from you. What a wonderful trip. Is Marilyn better? I see from a post that she may have been sick! I would be if I saw whales!
    Safe journey. Millie

  5. Were the fireworks in Boston Harbor? We saw them on tv, and wondered if we were watching the same fireworks as you and Marilyn were. We were in Canada, so that was the only way we saw fireworks!
