Thanksgiving in Kentucky

We're thankful to arrived in Bowling Green Kentucky after a pleasant trip from Kalamazoo. We had our turkey dinner sitting in the car at a rest stop south of the exit for Taylor University. Sister served smoked turkey sandwiches with a side of cranberry sauce and topped off with a piece of pumpkin pie. Delicious!!

This part of Kentucky is in the Central Time Zone so we gain an hour sleep tonight. Another little thing for which to be thankful.

  1. You did better than I did for T-Day! I had roast beef! Because it is one of only two days the stores are closed during the year, Mike had a T-Day/Thank You dinner for all employees and their families at Dave & Busters so the kids could play games. had a very good turnout, but no turkey. then Friday for George & I fixed a Banquet tray of turkey slices in gravy, made mashed potatoes, homemade cole slaw, and cranberry sauce (canned). Spent Black Saturday with B at Pearl Harbor. Yes, today was Mom's would-have-been 97th birthday. Be safe. Mahalo and Aloha, lil r.
