Jul-eye 11, 2012

This is the day I have been waiting for.  I had the cataract removed from my right eye.  It is amazing how the surgery has changed since I was a nursing student 50+ years ago.  In the olden days I would still be in the hospital on bed rest with my head wedged between sandbags.  Today I had the operation at 9 a.m. and  am home for lunch and blogging about it.

One done and one more to go in two weeks.

  1. Naomi, that is amazing! I, too, remember the days when cataract surgery patients had to lay flat in a hospital bed for nearly one week. Thank goodness for modern medical technology. You must be eager to get the patch off and get the left eye done. Love and prayers, H & R

    1. The improvement in the vision of my R eye is amazing! It seems like all the light bulbs in the house are double the original wattage and the smog has lifted from the world outside.
