Sister received sad messages about a rash of injuries and serious illnesses among her nun friends. She sits looking out over the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and prays for them and those caring for them.
We enjoy reading USA Today and the Sarasota newspaper every day. There was a full page article about NIU (my old school) getting a bowl bid. They are the first from a much less prestigious conference to qualify and are huge underdogs. But their mascot is a Huskie so watch out!

ReplyDeleteAnd I am cheering for NIU! Would love to see them knock off Florida State, but that seems unlikely. A few years ago, Hawaii earned a major bowl bid and got to go to Sugar Bowl to play Georgia and they got totally demolished by the Bulldogs. Just hope NIU can play a respectful game vs. their opponent. Was wondering where the blog went. Sorry to hear of Sister's friends and "co-spiriters." Hope she is praying everyday for the Irish and Huskies, too. Work those beads, Sister! It's windy and chilly in Hawaii today - but chilly is relative to normal.RB
