Sunday - Visiting Day


Spike, the dog - a frequent visitor 
Now if this fellow on the left had been wearing a Notre Dame shirt I would have taken him to chat with Sister.  The little fellow has an angry bird shirt which you Chicks might recognize. 

The dog owner is an activity therapist at the Gardens and the Detroit Tiger fan is her uncle.  She is the second staff person I've met who has a relative residing at the Gardens.  The nice thing is, all the residents are treated by the staff as though they were loved family.

    Does Sister have dog visitors every day ? Some of my friends take their dogs to visit patient's with the permission of the facilities . Is this a recent fad? DEP

    So wonderful that Sister is in a great facility, so important for her recovery, as well as your daily visits. Do take good care of yourself, too. H

    We usually meet the doggies out in the hall and lobby. They stick with the staff people who bring them. So if the therapist comes to the room the dog either comes in too or if you don't care for dogs they lie down at the doorway.
