Two elderly, well dressed ladies, with deep southern accents preceeded me at the registration desk. The clerk noticing their advanced age and that one walked with a cane assumed they wanted a ground floor room but when she regretfully told them there were no ground floor rooms left, they said they definitely didn't want a ground floor room, they wanted a second floor room. They gayly said they were in town to shop and get away from home.
We had made reservations in advance so our ground floor room was ready and waiting. There was a two inch curb which we just about managed.
I think the other women were really in their twenties made up for lead roles in Arsenic and Old Lace. Do I sound like Maxine?
